Basic

1. What is ConnectTalk?

ConnectTALK is one of mobile services via Internet network using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology. Voice quality is almost as good as a normal mobile.

 

• Enable customers to make a call from every corner of the world where Internet is available. Save more money when calling international to both a mobile and a home phone. And very cheap rate for calling local to AIS mobile.

• Enable customers to pick up an international call unlimitedly via Internet network and AIS mobile phone.
 
2. How many ConnectTalk services are there?

ConnectFREE, Free local and international calling within ConnectTalk network via Internet and computers.

ConnectCALL, making a call from PC to both local and international mobiles with a starting price, 1 baht/minute (Exclude VAT).
Personal Number/Business Number, International number rental service enables your friends to call you from other countries with a local rate. Personal Number only 99 baht/month (20 incoming numbers can be defined within the same country.) Business Number starts only 500 baht/month (Exclude VAT)
Forward Call to Mobile, when international number has already been rented, customers can pick up on their mobiles 1 baht/minute at a time (Exclude VAT). For AIS mobiles (This price is only for diverting a pick-up call to a mobile in Thailand)
• Other supplementary services such as SMS etc.
 
3. What is international number rental service?

It is a service that offers all customers an international number rental service. Customers can pick up all international calls with low price although they are in Thailand. At the present, 5 countries are available: America, England, Australia, Japan, and Singapore with a service of number rental and pick-up call at computers. As a result, you can pick up all calls unlimitedly. In addition, people calling from abroad will be charged as a local rate. International number rental service is divided into two types to suitably match with customers' selection as follows:

 

  1. Personal Number 99 baht/month (Exclude VAT) 20 incoming numbers can be defined within the same country. This is very suitable for Personal- Use customers.
  2. Business Number starting price 500 baht/month (Exclude VAT) every number can make a call to a registered number without prior define. It is suitable for Business Use. Customers can type a number in a name card to enable those living abroad to call you in Thailand with low price.
Personal Number/Business Number at ConnectTALK is a fixed line number (The same as a home number) of those countries. Therefore, when your friends call you at your personal number, your friends will be charged as local rate as if they called to a fixed line of those countries.
 
Remark : International number rental service is only for picking up a call.
   
4. What is Forward Call to Mobile?

 

Rent and pick up a number on a mobile by forwarding a call to AIS mobile via a webpage, Menu configurations.
   
Remark : Forwarding to a call only in Thailand. In case of going abroad with a mobile that forward call is still in use, forward call rate will not be 1 baht/minute but it will depend on the rate of a destination country see other countries' rate
   
5. What is Personal Number service?

 

Personal Number is a international number rental service for people living in those countries to make a call to us. It is a number rental that 20 incoming numbers can be defined at most within the same country. Therefore, other people can not call to this number. Rate 99 baht/month (Exclude VAT). One incoming number must be defined. It is proper for Personal Use.
 
Remark : Only a number defined in a map personal number can only be used because the system will check for the accuracy of both numbers (incoming and picking up numbers) before you can make a call.
 
6. What is Business Number service?

 

Business Number is an international number rental service with an unlimited numbers of callers in other countries. 500 baht/month (Exclude VAT) It is suitable for a business use. You can type a number in a name card for people living in other countries to call you back in Thailand with a low price.
 
7. ConnectTALK payment

 

Easy ways for payment both Postpaid and Prepaid type
 
  1. Postpaid
     
    Today! GSM Advance customer can pay ConnectTalk service via your Monthly GSM Bill Payment, just call AIS Call Center 1175
     
  2. Prepaid
     
    You can choose to pay ConnectTalk service via One-2-Call Cash Card
     
    In case of topping up via AIS Cash Card
     
    1. Fill in 16 digits of a cash card which you can scratch-off from its back.
    2. After filling in information correctly, press "Top up"
    3. Total money and Top up money will be shown in your account.
Remark : ConnectTALK cash pocket that is linked with customers'Account, 1-2-call cash pocket and monthly invoice of will separately be charged.
   
8. Top up channel of ConnectTalk

 

You can Top up money by One-2-Call Cash Card which can buy at all 7-11 Shops.

 

Remark : “One-2-Call Cash Card” which selling at other shops are not Cash Card, so for ConnectTalk service need to buy One-2-Call Cash Card only at 7-11 Shops.
 
9. What are the important devices for using ConnectTALK?

 

1) PC or Notebook
2) Windows 2003, XP และ Vistra
3) Pentium 4 or more
4) Ram 256 MB or more
5) Microphone & speakers, or headset
6) sound card
7) ConnectTALK Softphone
8) Internet system used with broadband or Dial Up

Remark : For the most effective quality of sound, approximately 40 Kbps speed should be used.
   
10. Where can an account are applied for ConnecttTalk?

 

People who would like to use ConnectTALK can apply for an account at www.connecttalk.com Easily applied, only fill in E-mail, mobile number, and ID card number.
 
11. Where can I ask for a solution when having a problem?
 
You can send any questions, problems, doubts, or other suggestions to www.connecttalk.com in the part of support or send e-mail to callcenter@ais.co.th or call AIS call center 1175 (24 hrs every day).
 
12. Can ConnectTALK be used with every Internet distributors?
 
ConnectTALK can be used with all local and international Internet distributors without any conditions. Besides, this service can be used with all technologies that access Internet with the minimum speed 40 Kbps: broadband, WiFi, Wimax.
 
(Ask for more information from Internet distributors in some areas that VoIP is prohibited.)
 
13. How and where can I use ConnectTalk?

• ConnectCALL, callers can be anyone in the world where Internet is accessible. Pick-up users can be as follows:

 

1. username of other ConnectTALK users
2. Only AIS Thai mobile number
3. International home and mobile number

• Personal Number/ Business Number rental service,

 

users can pick up a call anywhere in the world via Internet but if picking up via a mobile phone, you must use AIS mobile only in order to be charged 1baht/minute (Picking up in other countries will be charged according to local rate of those countries) Callers can make a call from 5 countries as follows: America, England, Australia, Japan, and Singapore.
